Geely Galaxy Starshine 6 PHEV will start pre-sale on September 26

Geely Galaxy’s Starshine 6 EM-i plug-in hybrid sedan will start pre-sale on September 26 in China. The new car is equipped with Geely’s latest generation of NordThor (Leishen) AI hybrid 2.0 system and the G-Pilot H3 entry-level advanced driving assistance system.

Built based on Geely’s GEA platform, the Geely Galaxy Starshine 6 has body dimensions of 4806/1886/1490 mm (l/w/h), with a wheelbase of 2756 mm, positioned below the Geely Galaxy Starshine 8 PHEV sedan. For reference, the Starshine 8 has body dimensions of 5018/1918/1480 mm, with a wheelbase of 2928 mm.

Consumers will be able to choose from five exterior paints: blue, silver, white, black, and gray.

The powertrain is equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine producing 82 kW (110 hp) of maximum power and 136N m of torque, mated to a 1-speed DHT. The top speed is 180 km/h. Two lithium iron phosphate battery capacities are available: 8.5 kWh and 17 kWh, providing a maximum CLTC pure electric range of 125 km. The CLTC comprehensive fuel consumption is as low as 2.8L per 100km.

The electric motor specifications and comprehensive range have not been revealed at this time.

In terms of intelligent driving, the G-Pilot H3 system onboard the vehicle is supported by 11 cameras, three millimeter-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic radars, powered by Horizon Robotics’ J6M chip with a computing power of 128 TOPS. This system can realize high-speed NOA, urban NOA, emergency avoidance assist, memory parking assist, and a maximum cruising speed of 150 km/h.

For reference, the G-Pilot has five tiers ranging from entry-level to high-end in the following order: H1, H3, H5, H7, and H9.

Coming to the cabin, there is a two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, a 10.2-inch instrument panel, and a 14.6-inch central control screen. The operating system comes from the Flyme Auto cockpit system, and sits on Geely’s self-developed 7nm Dragon Eagle-1 chip.

Furthermore, the front and rear rows boast a headroom of 970 mm and 960 mm, respectively. The seats also come with 80 mm thick foam padding that includes 20 mm of memory foam.
