Chery Fulwin X3L officially launches with 422 hp, starting from 16,500 USD
Chery has officially launched its Fulwin X3L, featuring the Kunpeng Golden extended-range CEM-S system. The new vehicle comes in four different configurations priced between 119,900 and 159,900 yuan (16,500-22,000 USD), with special trade-in prices ranging from 109,900 to 149,900 yuan (15,100-20,600 USD).
The Fulwin X3L maintains the “box-shaped” design philosophy similar to the iCar (iCaur) 03T. Its exterior features a bold front fascia with a horizontal black trim that integrates seamlessly with the headlights.
The vehicle’s side profile showcases a square design with hidden door handles and black trim around the body. Notably, the four-wheel-drive version comes equipped with 21-inch tyres with a width of 265mm, an uncommon feature in its class. The Fulwin X3L measures 4545/1950/1815mm (L/W/H) with a wheelbase of 2783mm.

At the rear, the vehicle features a side-opening tailgate and a small exterior storage compartment equipped with mesh dividers, ideal for storing wet items like umbrellas or boots during off-road adventures in water or beach environments. This compartment also offers expansion capabilities for future upgrades.

The Fulwin X3L comes factory-ready with a 1.6T towing qualification and offers a rich ecosystem of customisation options, including a roof platform system, vehicle-mounted drone, physical buttons, roof rack with 75kg load capacity, side storage, trunk storage, side climbing ladder, side steps, off-road modification kits, and a small backpack with a smart display.

Inside, the vehicle adopts a design infused with rugged styling elements. Smart features include an embedded full LCD instrument panel and a floating 15.6-inch central control screen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip.

For driver assistance, the Fulwin X3L is equipped with the Falcon 500 intelligent driving system featuring end-to-end algorithms. It supports mapless highway navigation, urban memory navigation, remote parking, trajectory-based reversing, and multi-level memory parking functions.

The powertrain consists of the Kunpeng Golden extended-range CEM-S system, combining a 1.5T engine with electric motors. The 1.5T range extender delivers a maximum power output of 115 kW. The single-motor version produces a system maximum power of 185 kW (248 hp) and peak torque of 300 Nm, while the dual-motor four-wheel-drive version boasts 315 kW (422 hp) of system power and 505 Nm of peak torque, enabling 0-100km/h acceleration in 4.7 seconds. The engine achieves a thermal efficiency of 45.79% with a fuel-to-electric conversion efficiency of 3.7kWh/L. Pure electric range options include 135 km and 215 km variants, with a maximum combined range exceeding 1200 km.
The four-wheel-drive system offers nine driving modes, including compass turning, tank turning, low-speed crawling, flexible downhill, and off-road single-pedal operation. Combined with approach and departure angles of 22° and 30°, respectively, the Fulwin X3L offers a minimum ground clearance of 225mm.
