BYD’s Denza N8L with 762 hp opens pre-sales, starting from 44,500 USD
Denza, a luxury brand under BYD, officially opened pre-sales for its new N8L model tonight, with two trims available: the “Distinguished” at 319,800 yuan (44,500 USD) and the “Flagship” at 349,800 yuan (48,600 USD). Early bird incentives during the pre-sale period include a complimentary two-tone body paint option and a free maintenance package covering seven services over 6 years.
As an addition to the Denza N8 lineup, the N8L is built on BYD’s e³ platform, featuring a 2+2+2 six-seat configuration. Positioned as a luxury large six-seater SUV designed for “family travel,” the N8L aims to compete directly with models like the Li Auto L8 and Aito M8. Its core selling points include the e³ platform’s tri-motor all-wheel-drive system, the “God’s Eye” driving assistance system, and its drone system.
The Denza N8L adopts the latest Denza family design language. It has two LED daytime running lights, while the main headlights are integrated on either side of the enclosed grille. The lower bumper features active air intakes, optimising heat dissipation and aerodynamic performance.

The N8L measures 5200mm in length, 1999mm in width, and 1820mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3075mm. Compared to the Denza N9, the N8L is 58mm shorter in length, 31mm narrower, 10mm lower in height, and has a 50mm shorter wheelbase. The rear design is complemented by a large spoiler at the top.

The interior of the new N8L largely mirrors the family design language seen in the Denza N9. The “Jinsan Brown” colour scheme, identical to the N9, combined with a horizontally suspended central control screen and a wireless charging pad below it. Both the front and second-row seats are equipped with multi-way electric adjustment functions.

A 2.0T plug-in hybrid system powers the Denza N8L. The 2.0T engine delivers a maximum output of 207 horsepower, while the front and rear tri-motors provide a combined output of 762 horsepower. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. The car is equipped with a dedicated Blade Battery for plug-in hybrids, offering a CLTC pure electric range of 230 km and a combined range of up to 1,300 km.
