Geely Galaxy Starshine 7 PHEV sedan exposed: 4.9-meter, NordThor Hybrid 2.0
Geely Galaxy’s Starshine 7 plug-in hybrid sedan was recently revealed by the Chinese MIIT. The new car continues the design language of the brand’s Starshine series, has a nearly 5-meter long body, and is equipped with Geely’s new generation of NordThor AI hybrid 2.0 system.

Currently, the Geely Galaxy Starshine series has the Starshine 8 on the Chinese market with a price range of 115,800 to 155,800 yuan (16,300 to 21,900 USD). The Starshine 6 recently started pre-sale in late September with a price range of 85,800 to 118,800 yuan (12,025 to 16,650 USD).

Judging from the appearance, the Starshine 7 is closer to the Starshine 6. In the front, there is a large trapezoidal grille decorated with vertical waterfall-style chrome strips, similar to that of the Starshine 6. From the side, traditional door handles are used. At the rear, a horizontal taillight cluster is used, embedded with the “GEELY” brand logo.

Other optional configurations include front grille designs, rim designs, privacy glass, radar, camera, and 225/55R18/235/45R19 tires.
The Geely Galaxy Starshine 7 measures 4958/1915/1505 mm (l/w/h), with a wheelbase of 2852 mm. Two curb weights were declared: 1,815 kg and 1,860 kg. In comparison, the Geely Galaxy Starshine 6 measures 4806/1886/1490 mm, and the wheelbase is 2756 mm.
The powertrain continues to use Geely’s new generation of NordThor AI hybrid 2.0 system, consisting of a 1.5L engine (model BHE15-BFN) with a maximum power of 82 kW (110 hp), paired with lithium iron phosphate battery pack. The top speed is 190 km/h. At this time, the electric motor and range details still need to be revealed officially.
Referring to the Geely Galaxy Starshine 6, its NordThor AI hybrid 2.0 powertrain system consists of a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine that outputs 82 kW and an electric motor that outputs 120 kW (160 hp). The entry-level trim features an 8.5 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery that provides 60 km of pure electric range while the high-end trims features a 17 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery for 125 km of pure electric range.
