BAIC‘s Arcfox has officially launched the pre-sale of its new Alpha T5 today, introducing six variants with prices ranging from 123,800 to 162,800 yuan (17,300 to 22,800 USD). The most significant update is the addition of an extended-range version, equipped with a 1.5L range extender system, offering a pure electric range of 215km under CLTC conditions.
The pure electric variants have received upgrades in both features and powertrain, with the maximum range now reaching 705km (CLTC).
The new Alpha T5 maintains its exterior design, featuring a closed front grille paired with triangular headlights incorporating LED daytime running lights. The vehicle’s dimensions measure 4760mm in length, 1936mm in width, and 1650mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2845mm. All variants come standard with 19-inch wheels.

Inside, the Alpha T5 retains its interior featuring a 15.6-inch central control screen and a 22.8-inch HUD. The vehicle supports CarPlay and HiCar connectivity, offering features such as 50W wireless phone charging, heated and ventilated front seats with massage function, and an 18-speaker audio system.

In terms of powertrain, the pure electric versions are equipped with single motors producing either 185 kW (248 hp) or 200 kW (268 hp), with peak torque of 320 N · m and 360 N · m respectively. Battery capacities vary from 64.8 kWh to 79.2 kWh, delivering CLTC ranges of 560km, 660km, and 705km.

The extended-range version combines a 1.5L range extender producing 77 kW with an electric motor delivering 200 kW and 365 N · m of torque. This variant achieves 0-100km/h acceleration in 6.5 seconds, with a pure electric range of 215km and a total range of 1,215km.
All models come standard with L2 autonomous driving capabilities, while higher trim levels feature Qualcomm 8775 chips supporting urban/highway NOA and intelligent parking assistance.
