GWM’s Wey Gaoshan 7 MPV with 452 hp launches at 40,000 USD

Wey, the premium brand under Great Wall Motor, has officially launched its latest MPV model, the Gaoshan 7, priced at 285,800 yuan (40,000 USD). The launch event took place on October 15th, introducing a mid-to-large-sized MPV equipped with the Coffee Pilot Ultra intelligent driving assistance system.

The Gaoshan 7 showcases Wey’s latest design language with its chrome waterfall grille integrated seamlessly with the headlights. The vehicle features pronounced air ducts with chrome trim.

The Gaoshan 7 Measures 5050mm in length, 1960mm in width, and 1900mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3085mm. The MPV comes equipped with electric sliding doors and features a floating roof design.

The front.

Inside, the vehicle boasts a cabin with a 15.6-inch 2.5K dual screen setup, accompanied by a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 26-inch SR-HUD (Head-Up Display). The interior configuration follows a 2+2+3 seven-seat layout, with the second row featuring independent seats that offer electric adjustment, ventilation, and heating functions. An optional zero-gravity massage seat package is available for enhanced comfort.

The rear.

The Gaoshan 7 is powered by Great Wall Motor’s Hi4 Performance Version intelligent four-wheel drive hybrid technology. This powertrain combines range extension, parallel hybrid, and direct drive modes, delivering a total system output of 337 kW (452 hp). The vehicle also features the Coffee Pilot Ultra system, supporting highway and urban NOA (Navigation on Autopilot) capabilities and intelligent parking assistance.

The vehicle is equipped with a comprehensive sensor suite comprising 27 units, including two 8-megapixel front-facing cameras, one 128-line LiDAR, three millimetre-wave radars, twelve ultrasonic radars, four surround-view cameras, four side-view cameras, and one rear-view camera. Processing all this data is a Nvidia Orin X chip.

Additional premium features include a ceiling-mounted entertainment screen for rear passengers, a hot-and-cold refrigerator, folding tables, wireless phone charging, and an electronic gear selector.
