Beijing Hyundai’s global product, the Elexio EO EV with 722 km range, starts presale at 18,200 USD
Beijing Hyundai has officially launched its Elexio EO electric SUV, with production commencing on October 16, 2025. The vehicle, which is set for launch on October 29, will be available in three variants – Fun, Smart, and Tech, with pre-sale prices ranging from 130,000 to 150,000 yuan (18,200 to 21,000 USD).
Built on the E-GMP global electric vehicle platform, this compact SUV boasts a maximum CLTC range of 722km. The Elexio EO showcases Hyundai’s latest design philosophy, featuring daytime running lights inspired by crystal elements, incorporating a figure-8 pattern.
The EO’s dimensions stand at 4615mm in length, 1875mm in width, and 1675mm (1698mm) in height, with a wheelbase of 2750mm. The wheels are 20-inch.

Inside, the Elexio EO features a sophisticated stepped centre console design and abandons traditional instrumentation in favour of a heads-up display. The interior is dominated by a 27-inch dual 4K screen setup for the centre console and passenger display, complemented by a two-tone, three-spoke multifunction steering wheel.

The powertrain options include both single and dual-motor configurations. The single-motor front-wheel-drive version delivers 160 kW (215 hp) of power, while the dual-motor all-wheel-drive variant produces 233 kW (312 hp). Two battery options are available: a 64.2 kWh and an 88.1 kWh LFP battery pack, offering five different range variants from 518km to 722km under CLTC conditions.

Premium features include a Bose sound system, a panoramic sunroof with electric sunshade, double-layered soundproof glass, an electric tailgate, and multiple driving modes. The vehicle’s storage solutions include a retractable compartment cover, dual wireless charging pads, and four cup holders.

The Elexio EO is Beijing Hyundai’s first pure electric SUV built based on Hyundai’s E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform). It’s a global product. CarNewsChina reader Alexis Hart commented on our previous report that “It’s definitely coming to Australia next year”.
