2026 BYD Song Pro DM-i launched with 3.2 L/100 km fuel consumption and 133 km EV range, starts at 13,700 USD
The 2026 BYD Song Pro DM-i has officially launched in China, offering a 133 km pure electric range and a total driving range of 1,508 km. Under NEDC conditions, fuel consumption in hybrid mode is rated at just 3.2 L/100 km. The updated model is available in three variants, with a limited-time Super Trade-In price range of 99,800 -122,800 yuan (13,700 -16,900 USD).

As an annual update, the 2026 Song Pro DM-i focuses on refinements to the suspension, fuel efficiency, and cabin design. Its electric-only range under the CLTC cycle has increased to 133 km, while official figures list fuel consumption at 3.2 L/100 km (NEDC, hybrid mode). Power continues to come from a 1.5-litre gasoline engine paired with an electric motor delivering 74 kW and 120 kW, respectively, using a front MacPherson and rear multi-link independent suspension layout.
Exterior changes are minimal, retaining the recognisable Song Pro DM-i family design. The update adds an active front grille for improved thermal management and aerodynamic efficiency.
Inside, the model adopts a redesigned centre console and a new column-mounted gear selector to free up space. The dashboard features an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster and either a 12.8-inch or 15.6-inch central screen running BYD’s DiLink 100 innovative infotainment system. Physical buttons remain for key functions such as drive mode selection, EV/HEV switching, and automatic parking.
The 2026 Song Pro DM-i also includes BYD’s “God’s Eye C” assisted-driving suite with highway navigation and enhanced parking capabilities. Entertainment and smart-cabin features include karaoke mode, in-car games, screen casting, navigation handover, and motion-based themes.
In the first half of 2025, BYD sold 133,919 units of the Song Pro DM-i in China. Competitors for the new Song Pro DM-i include the Leapmotor B10 and Galaxy Starshine 7. Both rivals are priced similarly, with the Galaxy model offering comparable specs and a slightly lower starting price. At the same time, the B10 uses a pure electric setup and features such as lidar at around 120,000 yuan (approximately 16,800 USD).
