Geely Galaxy Starshine 6 set for global launch on October 30
Geely Galaxy has scheduled the global launch of its new plug-in hybrid sedan, the Starshine 6, for October 30, 2025. The model has already opened presales in China, starting at 85,800 yuan (12,025 USD), while the launch price is expected to be slightly lower at 79,800 yuan (11,185 USD). The Starshine 6 combines a 1.5-litre hybrid powertrain with up to 125 km of electric range, positioning it as a family-oriented alternative to current Chinese PHEV sedans such as BYD Seal 06.
The Starshine 6 is equipped with Geely’s latest EM 2.0 powertrain, which combines a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine producing 82 kW (110 hp) with an electric motor rated at 120 kW (160 hp). Entry-level versions feature an 8.5 kWh LFP battery delivering up to 60 km of electric range, while higher trims include a 17 kWh LFP battery capable of up to 125 km. Geely reports fuel consumption of 2.8 litres per 100 km. The vehicle’s top speed is 180 km/h.
The sedan measures 4,806 mm in length, 1,886 mm in width, and 1,490 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,756 mm. The Starshine 6 rides on 16- or 17-inch wheels and uses a McPherson front suspension with a torsion beam rear axle.
Exterior options include five colours: Blue, Silver, White, Black, and Grey. The front fascia features a trapezoidal grille with vertical bars and elongated headlights. Traditional door handles and body-colored side mirrors are standard. The rear is equipped with a full-width taillight and a hidden exhaust layout.
Inside, the Starshine 6 adopts Geely Galaxy’s latest interior design language with a dual-tone layout. The cabin includes cotton-padded seats with a perforated design, a 10.2-inch instrument cluster, and a 14.6-inch floating centre display powered by Flyme Auto. Features include a stalk-mounted gear shifter, multifunction steering wheel, 50W wireless phone charging, and H3 G-Pilot driver assistance system. The H3 system utilises 11 cameras, three millimetre-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic sensors to enable high-speed NOA, urban NOA, memory parking assist, and automated parking.
Geely Galaxy is a new energy vehicle brand launched in 2023 under Geely Automobile. It currently offers twelve models, with the Geome Xingyuan electric hatchback being its best-selling model in China for the first eight months of 2025. Starshine 6 is positioned as a family-oriented PHEV and is expected to compete with BYD’s Seal 06 DM-i sedan.
