Xpeng X9 EREV unveiled, an MPV boasting over 1,600 km combined range
Xpeng today revealed the exterior of its X9 Extended-Range Electric Vehicle (EREV), a 7-seater large-sized MPV set to hit the market in the fourth quarter of this year. The EREV variant introduces several design adjustments compared to the existing all-electric X9 and incorporates XPeng’s Kunpeng Super Range Extension technology.
The new X9 EREV is powered by a 1.5T range extender (model DAM15NTE) with a maximum output of 110 kW. Utilising an 800V high-voltage platform and equipped with 5C super-fast charging capabilities, the vehicle offers a pure electric range of 452 km under CLTC conditions and a combined range of 1,602 km.
From the exterior, the X9 EREV maintains the split headlight design, complemented by a three-segment LED daytime running light strip. The front bumper features a closed grille, flanked by vertically arranged air vents with an inward-sloping design. The lower part of the front bumper integrates a dual-segment heat dissipation opening with an active grille. A new “Aurora Green” exterior colour has also been introduced.

The side profile retains the Xpeng X9’s “mecha-futuristic” design language. Concealed A, B, C, and D pillars create a floating roof visual effect. The lower part of the doors features concave character lines, paired with flared wheel arches and 20-inch multi-spoke wheels. In terms of dimensions, the new car measures 5316mm in length, 1988mm in width, and 1785mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3160mm.
At the rear, the X9 EREV adopts a large, borderless rear window and a fastback design. The through-type taillight design incorporates the illuminated XPeng English logo.

A key differentiator from the all-electric version, the X9 EREV features a fuel filler cap on the left rear fender, while the fast/slow charging ports remain on the right fender. According to previous Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) declarations, the XPeng X9 EREV will be equipped with a 1.5T range-extended power system, a 63.3 kWh battery pack, and a 60L fuel tank. Its CLTC pure electric range is 452 km, with a combined range of 1,602 km, and a fuel consumption of 6.4 L/100km.
