Chery’s Exeed Exlantix E05 with 1,300 km range arrives at showrooms ahead of launch in China
The Exeed Exlantix E05, developed under Chery’s premium brand and also known as the ET5 in China, has been spotted at dealerships ahead of its official debut at the 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show in November, as reported by Sohu.
The mid-size SUV uses a 1.5T engine as a range-extender generator producing 115 kW, paired with a rear electric motor delivering 195 kW (265 hp) and 324 N·m of torque. A 32.66 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery provides 205 km of pure-electric range and a combined driving range of approximately 1,300 km. The vehicle also features Chery’s Falcon 700 driver-assistance system powered by Horizon Robotics’ HSD+ Journey 6P platform.
Built on Chery’s E0X platform, the Exeed Exlantix E05 measures 4,780 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, 1,725 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,800 mm.
The front fascia features a closed design with a prominent nose section, raised shell-shaped headlights, and triple horizontal light bars. Matrix headlamps feature C-shaped air ducts, and the lower section features a double-layer trapezoidal grille. A roof-mounted LiDAR and 12 radars support the Falcon 700 driver-assistance system.
The side profile shows a roofline descending from the B-pillar, a high waistline, and a slightly muscular shoulder contour. The rear adopts a through-type taillight with pixel elements, a high-mounted brake light, and a roof spoiler. Wheels are 20-inch multi-spoke units, and the vehicle retains traditional door handles.
The cabin features a triple-screen layout with a 15.6-inch central display, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 12.3-inch passenger screen. The infotainment system is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8255 and integrates iFlytek and DeepSeek AI voice functions.
Materials include light-colored leather and wood trim. Controls include a two-spoke multifunction steering wheel, electronic column shifter, ambient lighting with a central speaker, and a row of physical buttons.
Front seats offer electric adjustment, ventilation, heating, and massage, and the passenger seat includes a boss key. Additional features include a panoramic sunroof with electric shade, rear air vents with a central armrest, a 21-speaker audio system, and a power tailgate.
The model will compete with BYD Song L DM-i, Sealion 06 DM-i, and Leapmotor C11 upon its official launch.
