GWM’s Haval brand has released official photos and configuration details for its upcoming H6L, a petrol-powered SUV. The H6L is largely based on the Xiaolong Max but features subtle exterior updates, including a redesigned front grille, larger side air vents, and minor changes to body proportions. The overall silhouette remains similar, with blacked-out window trim, petal-style wheels, and hidden exhaust outlets.

The front and rear lighting maintain a through-type layout, centred by a light-up “HAVAL” badge. The vehicle’s dimensions are 4800 mm long, 1895 mm wide, 1730 mm tall, with a 2810 mm wheelbase, slightly longer and taller than the Xiaolong MAX, while interior space remains essentially unchanged.

Inside, the H6L cabin offers three colour schemes: Autumn Brown-Beige, Exploration Black, and Canyon Brown. A 14.6-inch central display, head-up display (HUD), and 64-colour ambient lighting complement heated steering and front and rear seats, as well as massaging and ventilated front seats. The driver’s seat supports 8-way electric adjustment and 4-way lumbar support, while rear seatbacks can recline at 27° or 32°.

Additional interior features include double-layer laminated soundproof glass, a 10-speaker surround system, voice interaction, a cabin purification system, and 28 dedicated storage compartments. Rear seats can fold flat with a single touch.

Powertrain options include a 1.5-litre turbo engine producing 135 kW and a 2.0-litre turbo engine rated at 175 kW. Both engines are paired with automatic transmissions. Detailed fuel economy figures have not yet been released.

The H6L replaces the petrol version of the Xiaolong Max and restores Haval’s classic “H” series naming strategy for urban SUVs. The addition of “L” signifies a slightly larger body than the standard H6, allowing the model to complement rather than replace the existing H6 in the compact-to-midsize SUV segment.

Industry sources expect a market launch in November 2025, with the vehicle competing in the 100,000 to 150,000 yuan (approximately 13,800 to 20,700 USD) price range.
