Geely Galaxy Starshine 6 launched, with a 1,700 km range, starting at 10,300 USD
Geely Galaxy has officially launched the Starshine 6 in China, introducing seven variants priced between 74,800 and 105,800 yuan (10,300–14,600 USD). During a limited-time launch period, prices range from 68,800 to 99,800 yuan (9,500–13,700 USD).
Positioned as a compact plug-in hybrid sedan, the Starshine 6 is powered by Geely’s latest EM 2.0 powertrain. The model offers a maximum combined driving range of 1,700 km, an official fuel consumption of 2.8 L/100 km, and an electric consumption rate of 11 kWh/100 km. Geely’s Galaxy lineup and will compete with the BYD Qin L, BYD Seal 06 DM-i, and Wuling Starlight PHEV.

The Starshine 6 adopts Geely’s latest “Ripple Aesthetics” design language. The front features a trapezoidal grille with vertical chrome bars, slender headlights with segmented daytime running lights, and a sculpted hood with two creases. At the rear, the car uses a full-width taillight bar with “GEELY” lettering at the centre and a concealed exhaust layout.
On the side, the sedan features a fastback-style roofline with dual shoulder lines running along the body, conventional door handles, and body-coloured mirrors, the vehicle rides on 16-inch wheels. Dimensions are 4806 mm long, 1886 mm wide, and 1490 mm high, with a 2756 mm wheelbase. Buyers can choose from five exterior colours: Cyan Blue, Silver, White, Black, and Grey.
Inside, the Galaxy Starshine 6 features Geely’s new-generation Galaxy cabin layout and offers three colour combinations: Chenghu White, Sudi Brown, and Smoky Grey. The dashboard houses a 10.2-inch instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch floating touchscreen, paired with a two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel and a column-mounted gear selector. The car runs on the Flyme Auto infotainment system, supported by Geely’s in-house 7-nanometer automotive-grade chip and AI large-language model assistant. Physical buttons and a rotary dial remain in the centre console for key functions.
Standard equipment includes leather seats, front seat heating, 50W wireless phone charging, a panoramic camera system, ambient lighting, rear air vents, a manual-dimming rearview mirror, and a single-pane sunroof.
The top trim features the H3 advanced driver-assistance system, supported by 11 cameras, three millimetre-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic sensors, delivering a total computing power of 128 TOPS. The system supports highway navigation assist (HNOA), city commuting assist (CNOA), lane-change assist via voice or stalk command, emergency avoidance assist, pedal misoperation suppression, and memory parking, totalling 34 functions.
Power comes from Geely’s latest EM 2.0 powertrain, combining a 1.5-litre engine (82 kW, 136 Nm) with an electric motor (120 kW, 210 Nm). Two lithium iron phosphate battery options are available: 8.5 kWh and 17 kWh, offering 60 km and 125 km of CLTC pure-electric range, respectively.
With its pricing starting below key rivals such as the BYD Qin L DM-i (from 99,800 yuan) and the BYD Seal 06 DM (from 99,800 yuan), the Galaxy Starshine 6 strengthens Geely’s position in China’s fast-growing plug-in hybrid sedan market.
