Zhengzhou Nissan has officially commenced pre-sales for its all-new Frontier Pro pickup truck, offering six models with a pre-sale price range of 176,900 to 249,900 yuan (24,800 to 35,000 USD). This vehicle represents Nissan‘s first global model to be entirely designed, developed, and produced in China, and will be available with gasoline, diesel, and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrains.
The Nissan Frontier Pro’s T-shaped headlights integrate multiple horizontal daytime running lights that visually connect with the horizontal trim on the front grille.
The Frontier Pro PHEV largely adopts the same design language as its gasoline counterpart but distinguishes itself with a closed-off element above the front grille, signalling its new energy vehicle status. Furthermore, the PHEV model features a unique, full-width “space capsule-like” daytime running light strip across the top of the front end.

Moving to the rear, the T-shaped taillights echo the front lighting design and are connected by a black decorative strip. The Nissan brand logo is embedded on the tailgate, which also incorporates a convenient two-level step area for easier access to the cargo bed. The vehicle measures 5520mm in length, 1960mm in width, and 1950mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3300mm.

Inside, the Nissan Frontier Pro is equipped with a 14.6-inch floating central control screen and a full LCD instrument cluster, with physical piano-style buttons and an electronic gear selector.

Under the hood, the Frontier Pro offers a choice of three powertrains, all paired with a four-wheel-drive system. These include a 2.0T gasoline engine, a 2.3T diesel engine, and a plug-in hybrid system. Specifically, the Frontier Pro is equipped with the third-generation M9T engine and a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. It also features BorgWarner’s Mlock intelligent four-wheel-drive system, delivering a maximum power output of 136 kW (182 hp) and a peak torque of 500 Nm.
The Frontier Pro PHEV’s plug-in hybrid powertrain delivers a maximum output of 410 horsepower and peak torque of 800 Nm. It can tow up to 3.5 tons and offers a pure electric range of 135 kilometres.
The new truck also boasts 13 selectable modes to cover a wide range of all-terrain conditions.
