Chery Tiggo 8 fifth-gen SUV opens pre-sales, with 1.6T engine, from 16,300 USD in China
Chery has officially opened pre-sales for the fifth-generation Tiggo 8 in China, offering four trim levels with prices ranging from 105,900 to 135,900 yuan (16,300–20,900 USD), according to Auto-home. The new model features a complete design update and offers two front-end styling options. The official launch is planned for November 10, 2025.

Exterior
The fifth-generation Tiggo 8 is available in two front-end designs. One features a polygonal grille with chrome accents, aiming for a more conventional family aesthetic, while the other adopts a honeycomb-style grille for a sportier look. The side profile is relatively flat, with a dynamic stance, and features semi-hidden door handles.
Vehicle dimensions are 4749 mm in length, 1880 mm in width, 1710 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2825 mm. At the rear, the Tiggo 8 features a new full-width taillight design and distinct lower bumper styling, which varies by trim, including options with hidden exhausts or dual outlets.
Interior
Two interior layouts are available. One configuration uses a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster paired with a 15.6-inch horizontal central display, while the other features a 13.2-inch vertical central touchscreen. Both layouts include a new dual-spoke steering wheel. Higher trims offer additional features such as dual phone platforms, single wireless charging pads, and upgraded interior trim.
Technology
The vehicle is equipped with the Qualcomm 8155 chip, an HMI 5.0 interactive system, cloud-based infotainment, and an advanced voice recognition system that supports multiple dialects in higher trims.
Powertrain
All trims use a Kunpeng 1.6TGDI turbocharged direct-injection engine, producing 147 kW of power and 310 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.
Market Positioning
The fifth-generation Tiggo 8 targets the five-seat family SUV segment in China. Competitors include the Jetour X70 and Geely Boyue L.
