GAC Aion today announced the official commencement of pre-orders for its Aion i60 compact SUV. The new model is available in both range-extended and pure electric versions, with pre-sale prices starting from 126,800 yuan (17,800 USD) for the range-extended model and 119,800 yuan (16,800 USD) for the pure electric variant.
The Aion i60 is positioned as a five-seater compact SUV, offering versatility with its dual powertrain options. The range-extended model boasts a CLTC pure electric range of 210 km and is equipped with 3C fast charging capability.
The Aion i60 features deep, upward-sweeping headlights with dual LED light sources and an upper daytime running light strip, connected by a central through-type design. The front bumper retains an air intake design, and the vehicle also includes an exterior projector at the front.

From the side, the Aion i60 shares similar lines with the AION V, and both models have identical wheelbases. However, the i60 boasts larger dimensions, measuring 4685mm in length, 1854mm in width, and 1660mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2775mm. This makes it noticeably larger than the Aion V, with an increase of 105mm in length, while maintaining its five-seat configuration. The new SUV features semi-hidden door handles and side mirrors equipped with auxiliary driving blue lights. Customers can choose between 18-inch and 19-inch wheel options.

The rear of the vehicle is characterised by a full-width taillight design with a dual-layer light strip and a self-illuminating brand logo in the centre. Auxiliary driving blue lights are also subtly integrated into the taillights. The vehicle also features an electric tailgate with a low sill design.
The interior features a two-tone upper and lower design, separated by metallic-textured trim. Three interior colour options are available: Oatmeal White, Warm Velvet Light Brown, and Tahiti Grey, complemented by 32-colour ambient lighting. The vehicle is equipped with a simplified scroll-wheel steering wheel, a square floating central control screen, and a digital instrument cluster. Below the screen, two wireless charging pads are provided.
In terms of advanced driver assistance, the Aion i60 is equipped with GAC’s GSD intelligent driving assistance system, supporting high-speed NDA (Navigation Driving Assist) and HPA (Intelligent Parking Assist) functions, enabling features such as on/off-ramp assistance and lane changes.
The AION i60 offers both pure electric and range-extended powertrain systems. The range-extended model is powered by a 1.5L engine with a maximum power output of 74 kW. It delivers a CLTC pure electric range of 210 km and a comprehensive range of 1240 km. Fuel consumption in charge-sustaining mode is 5.5L/100km. The electric motor provides a maximum power of 180 kW (241 hp), and the battery can be charged from 30% to 80% in 15 minutes.
The EV variant will be powered by two electric motor options, 150 kW (model TZ180XTD3A01) and 165 kW (model TZ180XYXOF51), depending on the configuration. Three battery capacity options will be available: 47.829 kWh, 62.268 kWh, and 75.26 kWh, with corresponding cruising ranges of 400 km, 530 km, and 650 km.
