2026 Geely Emgrand grows larger with new 1.5T engine, pre-sales start at 9,700 USD
Geely has officially launched pre-sales for its fifth-generation Emgrand sedan, with prices ranging from 68,900 to 85,900 yuan (approximately 9,700 to 12,000 USD), a limited-time price. The new model is built on the BMA Evo global modular architecture and offers two engine options: a 1.5 turbocharged engine and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine.

The 2026 Emgrand is larger than the outgoing fourth-generation model, measuring 4,815 mm in length, 1,885 mm in width, and 1,480 mm in height, with a 2,755 mm wheelbase. Compared with the previous generation, this represents increases of 177 mm in length, 65 mm in width, 20 mm in height, and 105 mm in wheelbase.
The exterior features a larger front grille with vertical chrome bars and dual L-shaped decorative elements on the front bumper. Body colours include six options, while door handles remain traditional pull-out types. Wheel options include 16-inch and 17-inch standard sizes, with 18-inch wheels available as an option.
Inside, the cabin is laid out in a wrap-around cockpit style, offering three interior themes. Instrumentation includes a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster on entry-level models, and a 14.6-inch floating centre screen (entry version: 10.1-inch). The car comes equipped with the Flyme Auto infotainment system, which supports voice control, smartphone connectivity (Flyme Link/CarLink/HUAWEI HiCar), gesture controls, and navigation via Gaode 810 maps.
Standard features include LED headlamps, electrically adjustable and heated side mirrors, a leather-wrapped four-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, and piano-style console buttons. Driver-assistance technology comprises an L2-level system with intelligent high/low-beam control, large-vehicle avoidance, traffic-sign recognition, emergency lane-keeping assist, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control.
The powertrain options are as follows:
- 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine: 88 kW, 150 N·m, mated to a CVT.
- 1.5 T turbocharged engine: 133 kW, 290 N·m, paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox. The turbo variant achieves 0–100 km/h in 7.9 seconds with a combined fuel consumption of 5.95 L/100 km.
In the Chinese compact sedan segment, the Emgrand competes with models such as the Chery Arrizo 5 Plus. In September 2025, the Emgrand sold 6,341 units.
