Updated: 06/11/2025 after verifications, the spyshot indicates it’s an Avatr 06 wagon instead of an Avatr 12 estate.
New spy photos from China show what appears to be a wagon variant of the Avatr 06 undergoing road testing, suggesting that Avatr, the premium electric vehicle brand backed by Changan, CATL, and Huawei, may be preparing to expand its lineup beyond sedans and crossovers. The prototype features an elongated roofline and extended rear section, consistent with a wagon or shooting brake design, though Avatr has not yet confirmed any plans for such a model.
The Avatr 06 currently serves as the brand’s midsize model, available in both extended-range (EREV) and pure electric (EV) variants. Its recently launched Elite trim sits between the Pro and Max grades, priced at 219,900 yuan (approximately 30,800 USD) for the EREV and 229,900 yuan (roughly 32,200 USD) for the EV, based on current exchange rates. The model includes Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 4 intelligent driving system, a 192-line LiDAR sensor, and the HarmonySpace 5 intelligent cockpit, representing the latest integration of Avatr’s technology partnership with Huawei.
In terms of size, the Avatr 06 measures 4,855 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, and 1,450 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,940 mm. The exterior design follows Avatr’s 2.0 design language, featuring dual-strip 7-shaped daytime running lights and a Halo interactive display above the windshield. Inside, the cabin is equipped with a 35.4-inch 4K panoramic screen and a 15.6-inch central display, complemented by a 25-speaker Meridian audio system.
If confirmed, the Avatr 06 wagon would join a small group of premium electric wagons currently available in China. The segment includes Huawei’s Stelato S9T station wagon, starting at 309,800 yuan (43,550 USD); the Zeekr 007 GT, priced from 199,900 yuan (28,100 USD); and the Audi E5 Sportback, from 235,900 yuan (33,150 USD).
The wagon variant would likely retain the sedan’s powertrain options, including the 252 kW (338 hp) pure electric version with a 650 km CLTC range and the 231 kW (310 hp) EREV model, offering a combined range of 1,190 km. With the prototype still heavily camouflaged, Avatr has not disclosed a release timeline.
