BYD‘s premium sub-brand, Fang Cheng Bao, announced today that the initial batch of its integrated electric skateboards, designed to seamlessly connect with the Ti7 SUV, has completely sold out. Customers can now place pre-orders through the official Fang Cheng Bao online store.

The self-developed electric skateboard, priced at 3,999 yuan (560 USD), offers a convenient and eco-friendly solution for last-mile transportation. Designed for easy storage within the vehicle, the skateboard can be charged directly from the car’s power supply.

This electric skateboard boasts versatile control options, allowing users to operate it via the Ti7’s infotainment system, a dedicated remote control, or the BYD mobile application. Once the skateboard and remote control are paired via Bluetooth, they automatically connect, enabling real-time monitoring of the skateboard’s connection status and battery level through the vehicle’s display, smartphone, or remote.

The remote control provides intuitive one-button operation: push forward to accelerate, and pull back to decelerate or stop. For longer journeys, the mobile app features a cruise control function, allowing for a consistent speed.

Charging at home.

Beyond in-car charging, the electric skateboard also supports home charging. With a range of 15 kilometres (9 miles), it is suited for short trips after parking.

With a handlebar.

The electric skateboard also features a detachable T-shaped handlebar. This allows users to ride it as a traditional skateboard or extend and adjust the handlebar’s length to accommodate different heights. Even if the battery runs out, the skateboard can still be propelled manually.

The skateboard incorporates automotive-grade lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries. These batteries are engineered to withstand 1,000 deep charge and discharge cycles.

For charging, the skateboard can be charged in 2.5 hours via a car charger, 3 hours via a home power outlet.

The skateboard can be kicked along, whether it has power or not (when controlling the skateboard with the remote, kicking is not suitable). Performing difficult manoeuvres with the skateboard is not recommended. It is rear-wheel drive, powered by the left rear wheel.
