Nissan N6 PHEV opens pre-sale: with 21.1 kWh battery, 180 km EV range, from 15,000 USD in China
The Dongfeng Nissan-branded Nissan N6, a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) mid-size sedan developed for the Chinese market, has entered its pre-sale phase with pricing and specification details published. The announcement was made on November 13, 2025.
The pre-sale price ranges from 106,900 to 121,900 yuan (approximately 15,020–17,120 USD). Sales are expected to officially begin on December 8 2025, with deliveries scheduled to commence shortly thereafter.
The N6 is built under the “Tianyan” architecture, which is shared with the fully electric Nissan N7 sedan. It is the first PHEV sedan from the Dongfeng Nissan joint venture. With overall dimensions of 4,831 mm in length, 1,885 mm in width, and 1,491 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,815 mm, the N6 is marginally smaller than the N7, indicating its positioning as a value-oriented mid-size plug-in hybrid.
The design language carries over many cues from the N7, including a closed-off front fascia, full-width lighting signatures, hidden door handles, and a streamlined fast-back rear. The charging port is located on the rear quarter panel. According to the Chinese announcement, the vehicle offers a choice of 17-inch and 18-inch wheels with tyre options of 225/55 R17 and 225/50 R18.
Under the hood, the N6 features a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (engine code NR15) paired with an electric motor. The petrol engine is rated at 75 kW (approximately 102 hp), and the electric motor at 155 kW (approximately 211 hp). The PHEV system is powered by a lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery with a capacity of 21.1 kWh, which, according to Chinese cycle (CLTC) data, delivers a pure-electric range of 180 km.
For comparison, many domestic Chinese automakers are offering NEVs (new energy vehicles) with full-electric or hybrid powertrains in similar size segments; the N6 adds a multinational joint-venture option.
The N6’s pre-sale phase now allows bookings ahead of its complete market launch in December. With a modest starting price and specifications aligned with the mid-size sedan category, it will be positioned against both domestic hybrid/plug-in models, as well as imported competitors.
