Recent online discussions about a possible facelift for the Xiaomi SU7 intensified after spy photographs appeared to show styling changes, alongside social media posts claiming that the model would receive 12 major hardware upgrades and a price increase of approximately 9,900 yuan (approximately 1,380 USD). The images show a prototype with a front lip design that differs from the current SU7, along with what appears to be a modified intake layout. Earlier internal leaks had suggested that the refreshed model may adopt a vertical-partition grille design similar to the SU7 Ultra, replacing the existing horizontal structure. Commentators noted that such a change could contribute to minor efficiency improvements.

Alongside the exterior details, unverified posts claimed that the facelift would introduce a second-generation Kirin battery capable of supporting 5C charging, enabling an estimated 200 km of range to be added in five minutes and potentially increasing the total range beyond 800 km. Other claimed upgrades include a 900V high-voltage electrical architecture, a Thor-U chip for intelligent driving functions, and additions such as a closed dual-chamber air suspension, laser radar across the full range, and seat ventilation, heating, and massage functions. Some sources expect the core powertrain to remain similar to the current SU7, with changes concentrated in electronics and chassis components.

The topic gained wider visibility after trending on Chinese social media on 11 November. In response, Xiaomi Auto’s official customer service staff told domestic media that the company has not released any information about a facelift or pricing changes, and that the current configurations and prices remain in effect, as reported by 36kr. Staff at several authorised retail stores gave the same response, stating that no internal notice has been issued regarding updates. The SU7 is still listed in three versions: the standard model at 215,900 yuan (approximately 30,460 USD), the Pro at 245,900 yuan (approximately 34,645 USD) and the Max at 299,900 yuan (approximately 42,240 USD).

Despite the official denial, market speculation continues, partly due to the SU7’s approaching two-year point in early 2026, a standard interval for mid-cycle adjustments in the Chinese market. Some analysts also note that delivery times for the Pro and Max versions have recently been shortened. At the same time, specific regions report terminal discounts of approximately 30,000 yuan (around 4,150 USD) on existing models, creating differing incentives depending on buyer priorities.
