On November 15, FAW opened its Hongqi HS6 PHEV for pre-sale with a price range of 178,800 to 228,800 yuan (25,200 to 32,200 USD). The new car is available in three trims of two-wheel and four-wheel drives, as well as CLTC pure electric ranges of 145 km, 240 km, and 220 km.

It’s worth pointing out that prior to its pre-sale launch, the Hongqi HS6 PHEV two-wheel drive set a new Guinness World Record for longest-range driven by a plug-in hybrid SUV without refuel, achieving a range of 2327.343 km.

Consumers can choose from four exterior paints: black, white, silver, and gray.

Positioned as a 5-seater medium-to-large SUV, the Hongqi HS6 PHEV measures 4925/1970/1740 mm (l/w/h), with a 2925 mm wheelbase. Its standard trunk capacity is 503 L, and can be expanded to 1977 L after folding down the rear seats. Underneath the trunk, there is an additional 49 L of storage space.

The plug-in hybrid system consists of a 1.5T engine and one or two electric motors, depending on the trims. The 1.5T engine has a maximum power of 110 kW (148 hp) and a thermal efficiency of up to 45.21%. The two-wheel and four-wheel drive have a combined system power of 168 kW (225 hp) and 369 kW (495 hp), respectively.

Two lithium iron phosphate battery packs are available: 23.9 kWh and 39.5 kWh, offering a maximum CLTC comprehensive range of 1,650 km. The battery pack also supports 4C fast charging, which takes 15 minutes to recharge from 20% to 80%.

Additionally, the Hongqi HS6 PHEV has a top speed of 205 km/h and a comprehensive fuel consumption of 0.4L/100km.

Coming to the cockpit, the most eye-catching is the dual 15.6-inch screen that consists of a central control screen and a co-pilot entertainment screen, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip and comes with a built-in AI large language model for voice assistant.

The D-shaped steering wheel has a dual-color design and supports heating. A 30-inch AR-HUD is also present for access to driving information.

All seats are equipped with heating and ventilation functions. The co-pilot seat also comes with an electric leg rest and has a maximum adjustment angle of 173°.

Other configurations include a Dynaudio sound system, a 1.38 m² panoramic sunroof, and an in-car refrigerator with a temperature range from 2℃ to 50℃, a 6 L capacity, and can be remotely controlled via an app.
