At the 2025 Guangzhou International Auto Show, Great Wall Motors unveiled its refreshed 2026 Cannon pickup lineup, including passenger, commercial, and off-road versions, with starting prices as low as 99,800 yuan (about 14,100 USD). The update touches all three variants and introduces new powertrains, chassis reinforcements, and technology features, according to IT-home.

The 2026 commercial Cannon is priced at 99,800–142,800 yuan (about 14,100–20,150 USD). Built on GWM’s “tank” platform, it employs a dual‑power diesel setup — either a 2.4T plus a 9‑speed automatic transmission or a 2.0T plus an 8‑speed automatic — while upgrading to a higher‑spec gasoline powertrain. Structurally, the frame uses a thickened, high‑strength ladder frame paired with a large 3+2 steel leaf spring setup to bolster load capacity. Safety enhancements include high‑strength side door beams, a cage‑type body structure, and automatic fuel cutoff and door unlocking in a crash. Lighting upgrades feature dual‑lens, split-beam LED headlights and added front fog lights, with tyre upgrades to 255/65 R18 on 18‑inch wheels to improve stability.

Additional versions target specific environments: a mountain-optimised model with all-terrain tyres, 360‑degree surround view, and hill-start assist; and a cold‑climate version with steering wheel and seat heating. Customers purchasing this model can access incentives, including a 6,000 yuan (~845 USD) cash bonus, 5,000 yuan (~705 USD) trade-in credit, and a 3,000 yuan (~425 USD) “old-friend” loyalty gift, as well as financial and service packages.

The passenger Cannon is priced from 126,800 to 168,800 yuan (about 17,880 to 23,820 USD). It uses the same 2.4T + 9‑speed automatic powertrain in a high-output gasoline version. Inside, a “Coffee OS 3” intelligent cockpit is installed, which GWM describes as among the most advanced in its class. Connectivity covers four major protocols: Huawei HiCar, Honour, ICCOA Carlink, and Apple CarPlay, supporting seamless integration with smartphones. The voice system responds in as little as 250 milliseconds and supports both “visible-to-talk” and context-sensitive commands.

The instrument display is a 10.25‑inch full-LCD, while the centre console features a 14.6‑inch screen with anti‑glare, anti‑reflection, and anti‑fingerprint treatments. On the hardware front, the system has 16 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. For safety, this model comes standard with a 360‑degree surround view and a “transparent chassis” system to monitor surroundings and underbody terrain. Buyers of the passenger Cannon are eligible for a multi-tier incentive package: 6,000 yuan (~845 USD) in cash, 5,000 yuan (~705 USD) in trade-in, 3,000 yuan (~425 USD) in an old-friend reward, plus gifts for financial, service, and connectivity.

The off‑road Cannon starts at 179,800 yuan (about 25,380 USD) and goes up to 188,800 yuan (about 26,630 USD). It is powered by a 2.4-litre diesel engine rated at 135 kW net and 480 Nm peak torque.

The four-wheel-drive system is based on BorgWarner’s 4A+MLOCK architecture, and the vehicle is equipped with three mechanical differential locks for improved capability in challenging terrain. A factory-installed 9,500-pound wireless T‑MAX winch enhances recovery capacity.

The model includes “tank” turning mode and a crawl mode, and supports nine driving modes: economy, standard, sport, snow, mud, sand, 4L, rock, and expert. Optional equipment for more advanced off-road use includes K‑MAN nitrogen bumpers and BFGoodrich tyres, all of which comply with road-legal registration requirements. Buyers of this model are offered a 10,000 yuan (~1,410 USD) cash bonus, a 10,000 yuan (~1,410 USD) trade-in incentive, 5,000 yuan (~705 USD) for “old-friend” referrals, plus gifts of financial, service, and connectivity packages.
