Chery’s Jetour officially launched the Zongheng G700 Taklimakan Rally Edition at the 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show, marking its global debut. The edition is offered in two variants at limited-time prices of 334,900 to 354,900 yuan (approximately 47,030 to 49,700 USD), while the regular guide prices are 359,900 and 379,900 yuan, respectively. Jetour states that this edition combines rally-proven off-road components with advanced in-cabin technology, as reported by IT-home.

The G700 Taklimakan Rally Edition features a rally-inspired exterior painted in a high-saturation red, reportedly 10 per cent brighter than standard finishes. The vehicle is equipped with a 5-mm aluminium-magnesium alloy underbody guard featuring integrated stamping and reinforced ribs. Jetour reports that this plate is 15 per cent lighter and 30 per cent stronger than conventional steel, capable of withstanding impacts up to 210 MPa, and offers 500 per cent improved corrosion resistance without coating treatment. The SUV also comes with 64-stage adjustable nitrogen dampers and Black Bear 265/70 R18 all-terrain tyres, both derived from competitive rally experience.

Powertrain specifications were confirmed in the official release. The G700 Taklimakan Rally Edition is equipped with a 2.0T front-mounted hybrid engine, delivering 155 kW from the engine alone and a combined system output of 560 kW with total torque of 795 Nm. Jetour positions this powertrain as optimised for both on-road performance and off-road resilience.

The vehicle’s interior includes a 35.4-inch integrated dashboard display and the Huawei Qian Kun ADS 4 driver-assistance system, using 27 perception sensors for full-scene awareness. Seats feature multi-layer leather construction with ventilation, heating, eight-point massage, and leg-support functions. The G700 also includes a Lescon audio system and an immersive 7.1.4-channel configuration demonstrated at the auto show.

Jetour reports that the G700 measures 5,198 mm long, 2,050 mm wide, 1,956 mm tall, with a 2,870 mm wheelbase. These dimensions place it among full-size luxury off-road SUVs, providing cabin space to match its performance and durability credentials.

Since the global launch on October 19, Jetour states that the G700 has secured 22,372 orders worldwide, including 10,529 from overseas markets. The company notes that driver-assistance variants account for more than 45 per cent of demand, while navigation-enabled versions have recorded over 500 orders.
