Chinese NEV November sales: BYD leads with 480,186, SAIC 149,900, & Geely 132,661
China’s new-energy vehicle (NEV) market continues to accelerate as November 2025 delivery figures from domestic manufacturers reveal both strong legacy performance and rapid growth among startups. Early data highlights the brands making the most significant impact, showing how established automakers and newer entrants are together shaping the country’s electrified vehicle landscape.
BYD delivered approximately 480,186 NEVs in November, down 5.25 per cent year-on-year. Of these, 237,540 were battery-electric passenger vehicles, up 19.93 per cent, and 237,380 were plug-in hybrid vehicles, down 22.41 per cent. The deliveries included 423,558 units from the Ocean & Dynasty series, 37,405 units from FCB, 13,255 units from Denza, and 703 units from Yangwang. Overseas NEV sales exceeded 130,000 units, marking a new record for the company. With these results, BYD’s cumulative NEV sales have now surpassed 14.7 million units, reinforcing its position as China’s largest NEV manufacturer.

SAIC Group disclosed 149,900 NEV sales in November, driven by strong performances across multiple sub-brands. IM Motors achieved 13,577 units, marking its third consecutive month above 10,000 units. SAIC Passenger Vehicle recorded 42,000 NEV sales, aided by the launch of the MG4 Anxin Edition. SAIC Maxus surpassed 8,000 NEVs, while SAIC-GM contributed 11,000 NEV sales.
Geely NEV (including the Galaxy series, excluding Zeekr and Lynk & Co) topped the disclosed numbers with 132,661 units, demonstrating the combined strength of Geely’s plug-in hybrid and fully electric models. The Galaxy series remains a key contributor to Geely’s NEV growth, reflecting both strategic electrification and strong consumer adoption.
Changan Auto reported 125,000 NEV sales, up 23 per cent, marking its third consecutive month above the 100,000-unit threshold. Within the group, Deepal delivered 33,060 units, while Changan Qiyuan reached 46,909 units.
Chery Group released its latest sales data for November 2025: the group sold 272,536 vehicles that month. New-energy vehicle sales reached 116,794 units, up 50.1% year-on-year and marking a new monthly record with the fourth consecutive monthly increase. Exports totalled 136,728 vehicles, up 30.3% year-on-year, and represent the seventh straight month in which Chery’s monthly exports exceeded 100,000 units, keeping the group at the top of China’s auto export rankings.
The November figures reflect ongoing growth across both legacy and emerging NEV brands. Startups such as HIMA and Leapmotor continue to expand production and delivery capabilities. HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) reported 81,864 deliveries in November, up 89.61% year-on-year, setting a new monthly record for the brand. Leapmotor also achieved a record month, delivering 70,327 vehicles, representing a year-on-year increase of over 75% and maintaining nine consecutive months of strong growth.
Zeekr and Lynk & Co, reported separately from Geely, delivered a combined 55,146 NEVs: Zeekr with 28,843 units and Lynk & Co with 26,303 NEV units. Great Wall Motor recorded 40,100 NEV sales in November, an 11.43 per cent year-on-year increase. The company also achieved a record 57,300 overseas sales, reflecting continued improvement in international markets.
Xiaomi Auto continued to deliver over 40,000 vehicles, sustaining its growth in the mass-market EV segment and expanding its nationwide service and retail network, which now covers 131 cities, 441 stores, and 249 service points.
In November 2025, XPeng delivered 36,728 vehicles, marking a 19% year-on-year increase, while GAC Aion reported 36,288 NEV sales. Nio followed closely with 36,275 deliveries, up 76.3% year over year. FAW reported 35,500 NEV sales, contributing additional volume from the group’s domestic electrified lineup. Li Auto contributed 33,181 units, reinforcing its role as a key player in the extended-range and premium electrified SUV segment. BAIC delivered 32,328 NEVs, marking the second consecutive month above 30,000 units and up 113% year-on-year. Voyah added 20,005 vehicles, providing steady volume in the premium NEV market. These figures, alongside November deliveries from BYD, SAIC, and other major manufacturers, give an overview of NEV sales distribution across China’s established and emerging automakers.
