4.8-meter Geely Galaxy M7 PHEV key parameters exposed
This is Geely Galaxy’s upcoming M7 plug-in hybrid five-seater SUV under its M series. Its parameters were exposed by the Chinese MIIT, featuring the M series’ design language and is powered by a 1.5L plug-in hybrid system.
Currently, Geely Galaxy’s M series contains the M9 plug-in hybrid six-seater SUV, which has a sales volume of 10,639 units in November, bringing its cumulative sales to over 28,000 units in less than three months since its launch.
The M7 is expected to be positioned below the M9. For reference, the M9 has six trims on the Chinese market with a price range of 173,800 to 238,800 yuan (24,600 to 33,700 USD), available in 100 km, 210 km, and 230 km CLTC pure electric ranges. Its maximum CLTC comprehensive range is 1,505 km.
In the front, a through-type light strip is present, similar to that of the Geely Galaxy M9. At the rear, the horizontal taillight design continues to be embedded with the “GEELY” English logo at the center, combined with two exhaust outlets at the bottom. Conventional door handles are also maintained.
Dimensionally, the Geely Galaxy M7 measures 4770/1905/1685 mm (l/w/h), with a wheelbase of 2785 mm. The declared curb weights are 1870 kg and 1810 kg, depending on the trims. For reference, the Geely Galaxy M9 measures 5205/1999/1800 mm, with a 3030 mm wheelbase.
Power comes from a plug-in hybrid system, with an 1.5L engine (BHE15-BFN) producing a maximum power of 82 kW (110 hp) and paired with lithium iron phosphate battery pack supplied by the CATL-Changan joint venture. The top speed is 180 km/h.
At this time, the electric motor specifications and range details have not been revealed.
The tire specifications are 235/55R18, 235/50R19, and 245/45R20.
Other optional configurations include the side/front/center radars, side/rear cameras, dual-color body, privacy glasses, and side step decoration.
