The latest MIIT filing in China introduces an updated BYD Seal 06 GT mid-size electric sedan. According to the documents, the variant offers motor options with maximum outputs of 200 kW and 240 kW, and includes a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor as an optional feature. The filing does not specify whether these motors are configured for single- or dual-motor layouts, according to Autohome.

The updated Seal 06 GT maintains the current model’s design language, following BYD’s Ocean Aesthetic. The front features a closed grille and sharply defined headlamps. From the side, the car exhibits a sloping stance with sharp character lines and hidden door handles. The rear includes a floating roof design and a full-width tail light incorporating a double-L pattern, consistent with the current Seal 06 GT.

Dimensions remain unchanged at 4630 mm length, 1880 mm width, 1490 mm height, with a 2820 mm wheelbase. This matches the existing hatchback, indicating the platform proportions are retained while introducing the new motor options.

For context, the current Seal 06 GT hatchback, built on the e-Platform 3.0 Evo, is available in multiple configurations. RWD variants included rear permanent-magnet synchronous motors rated at 160 kW or 165 kW, with 0–100 km/h acceleration in 7.5 seconds.

AWD versions combined a 110 kW front motor with a 200 kW rear motor, producing a total output of 310 kW, achieving 0–100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. The hatchback’s battery options ranged from 59.52 kWh to 72.96 kWh Blade packs, supporting CLTC ranges of 505 km to 605 km. The top speed was 200 km/h for all trims.

The new filing confirms that the updated Seal 06 GT preserves the styling, proportions, and LiDAR hardware of the current hatchback while adding higher output motor options. Battery capacities, official range, and drivetrain configuration are not specified in the MIIT documents.
