The BYD Sealion 06 electric variants are built on the company’s e-Platform 3.0 Evo architecture, supporting both 400V and 800V systems. The entry-level EV is equipped with a 65.28 kWh battery that delivers 170 kW of power and 330 N·m of torque, for a CLTC range of 520 km. Higher-end 800V EVs feature a 78.72 kWh battery, a 180 kW motor, and a 605 km CLTC range, with fast charging supported up to 237 kW and an energy consumption of approximately 12.5 kWh per 100 km.
Plug-in hybrid variants use BYD’s fifth-generation DM-i system, pairing a 1.5-litre engine rated at 74 kW and 126 N·m with a 160 kW electric motor. Battery capacities range from 18.3 kWh to 26.6 kWh, providing electric-only CLTC ranges of 121–170 km and combined ranges up to 1,670 km. The hybrid powertrain incorporates BYD’s seven-in-one power domain control system.
The vehicle’s dimensions are 4,810 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, and 1,675 mm in height, with a 2,820 mm wheelbase. Interior features include a 15.6-inch touchscreen, an instrument cluster display, heated and ventilated front seats, a 1.73 m² panoramic roof, and a Dynaudio sound system. The EV version uses an 800-volt electrical platform with a 12-in-1 drive system capable of supporting fast charging up to 237 kW.
Following its launch, the Sealion 06 sold 4,697 units in July, 30,483 units in August, 30,901 units in September, and 33,200 units in October, showing consecutive monthly sales above 30,000 units since August. While the November 2025 sales figure is not publicly confirmed as the model’s record, the Sealion 06 achieved a production milestone of 100,000 units within 100 days of launch, the fastest among BYD models to reach that mark. The “Sealion family,” including all Sealion variants, sold 54,955 units in November, contributing to BYD’s overall new energy vehicle sales of 480,186 units for the month.
Following the November results, expectations for December suggest the potential to surpass 40,000 units, reflecting continued market traction. This positions the Sealion 06 as a key mid-size SUV in BYD’s domestic lineup, inheriting the technical features and market role of the Sealion 6/Song Plus.
