Chery’s iCar V27 is now taking pre-orders in China. The vehicle will arrive in dealerships starting in mid-January 2026, with the official launch scheduled for the first quarter of 2026. As the fourth model under the iCar brand, the iCar V27 features a 1.5T range-extender system, offering a CLTC pure electric range of 210 km and a comprehensive range of 1,200 km.
Positioned as a mid-to-large SUV, the iCar V27 measures 4909/1976/1855(1894) mm, with a 2910 mm wheelbase and a five-seat layout. Consumers can choose from five exterior paints: silver, yellow, beige, black, and blue.
As an off-road SUV, the rear comes with an external spare tire along with a tow hook and a side-opening tailgate.
For advanced driving assistance functions, Chery’s Falcon 700 system is onboard the vehicle, supported by a Horizon Robotics J6P chip with a 560 TOPS computing power and 27 sensors throughout the vehicle, the same as that on the Exeed Exlantix MX (ET5). The 27 sensors include a lidar, three millimeter-wave radars, 11 cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars.
Chery claimed that the Falcon 700 has a system latency as low as 160 milliseconds, 42% faster than a human.
The range-extender powertrain system consists of a 105 kW (141 hp) 1.5T engine as the range-extender and one or dual electric motors, depending on the trims, boasting a CLTC comprehensive range of 1,200 km and a pure electric range of 210 km.
The dual-motor version can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in five seconds, with a maximum power output of 335 kW (449 hp). The single-motor version (RWD) has a maximum power output of 185 kW (248 hp).
Inside, the cockpit features a 15.4-inch 2.5K central control screen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip, a full LCD instrument cluster behind the steering wheel, and numerous physical buttons on the center console for configuration controls.
Other configurations include a 23-speaker sound system active noise cancellation, and a segmented sunroof.
The standard trunk volume is 715L and can be expanded to 1,818L. There are also 50 storage slots throughout the interior.
