Xiaomi SU7 price hike for second quarter 2026 with refresh, report says
Xiaomi’s SU7 electric sedan is expected to receive a refreshed version in the second quarter of 2026, according to multiple Chinese media reports citing industry sources and social media disclosure. The update is reported to include changes to exterior design, charging capability, and onboard hardware, along with a confirmed price increase compared with the current model lineup.
Spy images published earlier by CarNewsChina on November 14 showed a camouflaged SU7 prototype with front styling differences compared with the current production model. Chinese automotive media report that the revised SU7 will be launched in China in the second quarter of next year, with pricing approximately 2,800 USD higher than the existing versions. The current SU7 range, launched in March 2024, is priced from about 30,100 USD for the standard rear-wheel-drive version, 34,300 USD for the Pro variant, and 41,800 USD for the dual-motor Max version.
Reports indicate that the updated SU7 will adopt a higher-capacity mainstream battery solution and support 5C fast charging. The current SU7 lineup uses different electrical architectures by variant: the Max version uses an 800V platform, while the entry-level and Pro versions use lower-voltage systems. The reported charging upgrade would represent a unified approach to faster charging across the refreshed model range.
The exterior of the updated SU7 is said to have received revisions consistent with a mid-cycle refresh. Information circulating in Chinese media indicates changes to the front grille area intended to improve aerodynamic efficiency. The updated model is also reported to add blind-spot warning indicators integrated into the side mirrors, a feature not present on the current SU7 lineup.
Driver-assistance hardware is also expected to be updated. According to the reports, the refreshed SU7 may adopt a new assisted-driving computing platform, potentially including an upgraded chip compared with the hardware currently deployed. Xiaomi has not provided official confirmation of the specific chip model or final system configuration.
The existing SU7 models remain on sale in China and continue to be offered with standard factory warranty and delivery programs. Chinese media report that Xiaomi has recently expanded inventory access, allowing some buyers to receive deliveries sooner than previously, ahead of the next-generation launch.
Sales of the SU7 declined from 24,410 units in July 2025 to 12,520 units in November 2025, according to China EV DataTracker. Reports note that this decrease coincided with the launch of the YU7 SUV, which attracted some potential SU7 buyers. Xiaomi’s preparation of a refreshed SU7 variant is viewed in this context.
