SAIC-Volkswagen has officially announced that its Passat ePro is expected to hit the market in 2026. The new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) sedan, which previously made its global debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show, represents a step forward for the brand, utilizing SAIC-Volkswagen’s new-generation PHEV platform and featuring the latest design language.

At the front, the Passat ePro features newly designed “Tech Smart Eye” LED headlights, a through-type LED light strip, and an illuminated logo. The side profile highlights a long wheelbase proportion. The rear is defined by horizontal lines, “wing-spread” LED through-type taillights, and a red LED illuminated logo.

In terms of dimensions, the Passat ePro measures 5017mm in length, 1850mm in width, and 1489mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2871mm. Customers will have the option to choose between 17-inch and 18-inch wheels.
