Xpeng P7+ EREV featuring new design spotted on street ahead of 2026 launch
Xpeng is set to expand its range-extended electric vehicle (EREV) portfolio with the upcoming P7+ EREV sedan. Ahead of its 2026 launch, leaked images have surfaced online, revealing a refreshed design.
The Xpeng P7+ EREV showcases a refined exterior. While largely retaining the silhouette of the current P7+ BEV, the EREV variant introduces several key updates. The front fascia features an optimized lower bumper with larger active air vents, designed to enhance cooling for the new 1.5T range-extender engine.
At the rear, the taillight cluster has been redesigned, incorporating a ring-shaped design with the Xpeng brand letter embedded in the center, alongside an auxiliary driving blue light. The rear bumper has also been optimized with a body-colored finish. The ducktail spoiler on the rear window remains unchanged. A “P7+ power ultra” badge has also been noted on the lower right corner.

In terms of size, the new P7+ EREV measures 5071mm in length, 1937mm in width, and 1512mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3000mm. This represents a slight increase in length compared to the current BEV model, making it a 5.1-meter sedan. The vehicle’s curb weight is reported to be 2160kg.

Under the hood, the P7+ EREV features a 1.5T range extender engine delivering a maximum power output of 110kW, paired with an electric drive motor capable of 180 kW (241 hp). Energy is stored in a 49.2kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, providing a CLTC pure electric range of 325km. The sedan is capable of reaching a top speed of 200km/h.
Further enhancing its capabilities, the Xpeng P7+ EREV will be equipped with three Turing chips, offering a formidable total computing power of 2250 TOPS.
The introduction of the P7+ EREV aligns with Xpeng’s broader strategy to expand its EREV offerings, following the launches of EREV variants for its X9 MPV and G7 SUV.
