One Chery vehicle was exported every 23 seconds in 2025, maintaining its lead position for 23 years
In 2025, the Chery Group exported 1,344,020 vehicles overseas out of the total 2,806,393 vehicles sold, a year-on-year increase of 17.4%, maintaining its position as the Chinese automaker that exported the most passenger vehicles for 23 consecutive years. On average, one Chery vehicle was exported every 23 seconds throughout the year.
Cumulatively, the Chery Group had exported 5.85 million vehicles, with monthly exports exceeding 140,000 units for the first time this year.
Let’s break down the numbers by the various brands under the Chery Group.
The Chery brand sold 1,700,940 vehicles annually. Among its best-selling models, the Tiggo 8 achieved nine consecutive years as the best-selling Chinese gasoline-powered mid-size SUV. The Arrizo 8 maintained monthly sales exceeding 10,000 units for 16 consecutive months, and its cumulative sales surpassed 450,000 units in 38 months since its launch.
Chery’s premium brand, Exeed, sold 120,369 vehicles. As a core model in Exeed’s “globalized high-end new energy” strategy, the Yaoguang C-DM series is sold in more than 19 countries and ranks among the top three in sales in its segment in European markets such as Spain and Italy.
The Jetour brand sold 622,590 vehicles. The Jetour X70’s cumulative sales surpassed one million units in seven years. The Jetour Traveler achieved cumulative global sales exceeding 400,000 units.
The iCaur (known as iCar in China) brand sold 96,989 vehicles. Its models are exported under iCaur or the existing Jaecoo brand. Its initial markets include Thailand, Malaysia, and Russia. For example, the iCar 03 is currently sold as the Jaecoo 6 overseas.
The Luxeed brand, jointly developed with Huawei, sold 90,493 vehicles. After the launch of the updated Luxeed R7 and S7, the brand achieved monthly deliveries exceeding 10,000 units for three consecutive months from October to December.
