BYD’s Seal 07 EV has appeared in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s filings, confirming battery capacity and driving range for the upcoming all-electric midsize sedan. The disclosure establishes the Seal 07 EV’s core technical parameters ahead of market launch and places it within BYD’s expanding Seal sedan lineup alongside the Seal 07 DM i plug-in hybrid. The model is positioned as a new pure-electric variant rather than a redesign of the existing DM i, as D-Auto reports.

According to regulatory information, the BYD Seal 07 EV is equipped with a 69.07-kilowatt-hour battery pack and has a driving range of 705 kilometers. The filing does not specify the test cycle used to calculate the range figure. The data confirm that the vehicle uses a single-motor electric powertrain.

In terms of exterior design, the Seal 07 EV largely carries over the styling of the Seal 07 DM i. The front fascia features narrow headlamp units with a similar lighting signature, and the vehicle retains hidden door handles. A roof-mounted lidar sensor is shown in the filing images, indicating that the Seal 07 EV will support advanced driver assistance systems.

The rear view shows the full-width taillight and EV badge.

At the rear, the Seal 07 EV follows the same design approach as the plug-in hybrid, including a full-width taillight assembly. An EV badge positioned on the left side of the tailgate distinguishes the electric model from its DM i counterpart. No additional exterior changes are indicated in the filing documents.

Dimensionally, the Seal 07 EV measures 4,995 millimeters in length, 1,910 millimeters in width, and 1,495 millimeters in height, with a wheelbase of 2,900 millimeters. By comparison, the 2026 Seal 07 DM i shares the same length, height, and wheelbase, while its width is listed at 1,900 millimeters, making the electric version 10 millimeters wider.

Powertrain details show that the single electric motor delivers a maximum output of 240 kilowatts. The motor is paired with the 69.07-kilowatt-hour battery pack referenced in the regulatory filing, which corresponds to the previously disclosed 705-kilometer driving range.

The MIIT filing confirms that the BYD Seal 07 EV will enter the midsize pure-electric sedan segment, with dimensions and output closely aligned with the Seal 07 DM i, while differentiating itself with a dedicated electric powertrain and an extended range rating.
