Leapmotor has unveiled the world’s first production-ready central vehicle computing platform powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Cockpit Platform Premium Edition and Snapdragon Ride Platform Premium Edition. The announcement, made at CES 2026, marks an advancement in automotive computing architecture that integrates multiple vehicle domains into a unified system.

Leapmotor’s upcoming flagship model, the D19, will be the first production vehicle equipped with the dual Snapdragon 8797 automotive platform. The solution integrates cockpit, driver assistance, body control, and connectivity functions into a single system, helping automakers reduce development complexity and costs while enabling faster, smarter, and more personalized in-vehicle experiences through AI.

The central domain controller consolidates critical vehicle functions, including smart cockpit, ADAS, body control (lighting, temperature, doors/windows), and vehicle gateway into a single high-performance system. The dual-chipset configuration provides the computational headroom needed for real-time coordination and advanced AI, including support for emerging intelligent agent AI workloads.

“Intelligence is profoundly reshaping the automotive industry, and technological innovation has always been at the core of Leapmotor’s development,” said Zhu Jiangming, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Leapmotor. “This production implementation of a central domain controller based on dual Snapdragon automotive platforms will further help Leapmotor achieve intelligent upgrades to the vehicle architecture and deliver an industry-leading driving experience.”

The new computing platform boasts several specifications:

  • Support for up to 8 displays (including multiple 3K/4K high-definition screens)
  • 18-channel audio output for in-car entertainment
  • OTA upgrades, remote diagnostics, and vehicle remote control
  • Over 200 modular capabilities through its service-oriented architecture
  • Advanced driver assistance supporting up to 13 cameras plus LiDAR, radar, and ultrasonic sensors
  • L2-level driving assistance with more than 30 advanced features, including park-to-park functionality
  • Comprehensive connectivity supporting voice calls, emergency services, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and precise positioning services

“Our collaboration with Leapmotor, based on the Snapdragon Digital Chassis solution, continues to push the boundaries of automotive innovation,” said Nakul Duggal, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Automotive, Industrial IoT, and Embedded at Qualcomm Technologies. “We are proud to help realize the world’s first production multi-domain fusion solution and witness how the Snapdragon Automotive Platform Premium Edition is accelerating the industry’s move toward central computing and software-defined vehicles.”
