SAIC Group’s MG brand officially launched the 2026 MG7 today, an annual facelift model that introduces technological upgrades. The new iteration of the mid-size coupe now features the NGP (Navigation Guided Pilot) advanced intelligent assisted driving system and an AI large language model for enhanced voice interaction. The 2026 MG7 is available in four variants, with prices ranging from 116,900 yuan (16,700 USD) to 154,900 yuan (22,100 USD).

The 2026 MG7 retains its coupe styling, characterized by a fastback silhouette where the roofline gracefully descends from the A-pillar to merge with the rear. From the side, the vehicle’s dual-segment waistline accentuates the wide rear fender. The rear design features robust quad exhaust outlets with manually controllable valves. An adaptive three-stage electric rear spoiler is seamlessly integrated into the hatchback tailgate, with a subtle ducktail design.

Inside, the 2026 MG7 maintains a dual-screen interconnected layout. The infotainment system offers online functionalities for entertainment and navigation. A key enhancement for the new model is the integration of an AI large language model, improving natural voice interaction capabilities and expanding the scope of voice control.

As a hatchback sedan, the MG7 boasts a standard trunk volume of 375 liters. This storage capacity can be further expanded by folding down the second-row seats.

The 2026 MG7 is equipped with the NGP advanced intelligent assisted driving system, powered by 23 perception hardware components and SAIC’s independently developed assisted driving algorithm. This comprehensive system offers 22 high-level assisted driving functions, including ISC (Intelligent Cruise System), ALC (Intelligent Lane Change Assist System), ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control), and AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking).

Under the hood, the 2026 MG7 continues to offer two turbocharged gasoline engine options. The 1.5T engine delivers 188 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. The more powerful 2.0T engine produces a maximum of 261 horsepower (192 kW) and 405 Nm of torque, coupled with a 9-speed automatic transmission. High-end variants further benefit from mCDC intelligent adjustable electronic control suspension and an E-LSD electronic limited-slip differential.
