Zeekr 8X plug-in hybrid SUV key parameters exposed: 275 hp 2.0T engine, 70 kWh battery, 5.1 meters length
Following Zeekr’s official confirmation of its upcoming Zeekr 8X plug-in hybrid SUV, more parameters of the new car are exposed by the Chinese MIIT, powered by a 205 kW (275 hp) 2.0T engine and up to 70 kWh ternary lithium battery. The market entry is expected to be in the first half of 2026 with 5- and 6-seater layouts, and positioned below the Zeekr 9X.



Positioned as a mid-to-large SUV, the Zeekr 8X has dimensions of 5100/1998/1780 mm (l/w/h), and a wheelbase of 3069 mm. Six curb weights were declared: 2,660 kg, 2,690 kg, 2,730 kg, 2,760 kg, 2,790 kg, and 2,820 kg. The towing capacity is 2,000 kg.

Overall, the Zeekr 8X retains the waterfall-style grille and split headlight design of the Zeekr 9X. A lidar is located on the roof.

The rear features a dual-layer taillight design with the top layer having a full width.

The Zeekr 8X has three tire specifications: 255/55 R20, 255/50 R21, and 275/40 R22, with six rim designs and red brake caliper.

Furthermore, other optional configurations include side mirror base design, front & rear bumper trim, roof rack and door handle trims, logo lettering, fender camera cover, and digital rearview mirror.
Power comes from a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 2.0T engine (model DHE20-PFZ) produced by Aurobay Technologies, with a maximum power output of 205 kW (275 hp), paired with a ternary lithium battery supplied by CATL-Geely joint venture. The battery capacities are 55.1 kWh and 70 kWh, correspond to WLTC pure electric range of 256 km and 328 km, respectively.
For reference, the Zeekr 9X is also powered by the same 2.0T engine and battery pack, providing WLTC pure electric ranges of 230 km to 302 km. The WLTC comprehensive ranges are from 982 km to 1,049 km.
According to previous reports, the high-end trim of the Zeekr 8X is expected to feature three electric motors with a combined power output of up to 1,030 kW (1,381 hp), as well as 6C fast-charging battery, and the Haohan AI Digital Chassis, similar to the Zeekr 9X.
The electric motor spec are not revealed at this time. We’ll continue to watch closely for more information.
