Leapmotor A10 compact SUV revealed in regulatory filings: its first model in A-Series with 500km range and LiDAR
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has revealed details of Leapmotor‘s newest offering – the A10 compact SUV. As the first model in Leapmotor’s A-series lineup, the A10 will join the company’s vehicle portfolio that includes A, B, C, and D series, along with the Lafa5 model. The A10 offers optional LiDAR technology and boasts a 500km pure electric range, with market launch and deliveries scheduled for the first half of 2026.
The exterior design features a closed front grille and LED headlights creating a “smiling face” aesthetic. The vehicle is equipped with roof-mounted LiDAR sensors, indicating high-level intelligent driving assistance capabilities. The side profile incorporates semi-hidden door handles and concealed B/C/D pillars, creating a floating roof visual effect. The A10 adopts Leapmotor’s “Technology Natural Aesthetics 2.0” design language, with dimensions measuring 4,270mm in length, 1,810mm in width, and 1,635mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,605mm and a curb weight of 1,460kg.
The rear design maintains a conventional layout featuring “smiling face” taillights and the LEAPMOTOR English badge. The A10 offers various optional features including different wheel rim designs (215/50 R18), fender decorative elements, rearview camera mirrors, and LiDAR technology.

Powering the A10 is a single electric motor produced by Huzhou Lingsheng Power Technology Co., Ltd., delivering a maximum output of 90 kW (121 hp). The vehicle is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery, supporting fast charging from 30% to 80% in 16 minutes, and features an oil-cooled electric drive system. The Leapmotor A10 has begun accepting blind pre-orders, with mass deliveries planned for the first half of 2026. Its combination of LiDAR technology and long-range capabilities in the 100,000 yuan (14,000 USD) market segment makes it a promising contender. CarNewsChina estimates it have a starting price about 10,000 USD.

The A10 is expected to compete directly with China’s best-selling pure electric vehicles, including the Geely Geome Xingyuan and BYD Seagull.
