Sporty Zeekr 8X PHEV version exposed with electric rear spoiler and full-black exterior
A sporty version of the Zeekr 8X plug-in hybrid SUV was exposed by the Chinese MIIT. The new car features an all-black exterior package, an electric rear spoiler, and carbon fiber components built based on the SEA-S hybrid architecture. Its official launch date is in the first half of 2026 and is currently undergoing large-scale pre-production testing.

This model largely continues the design of the Zeekr 8X with some sporty details, including red brake calipers and an electric rear spoiler. In the front, a lidar and a waterfall-style grille continue to be present, inspired by palace foundations, according to Zeekr.

In the rear, the model has a full-width through-type taillight with 54,894 diamond-shaped facets.
Power comes from a 2.0T engine with a maximum power of 205 kW (275 hp). Similar to the standard Zeekr 8X, this model is also expected to be equipped with a 900V architecture, 6C fast-charging battery, and a three-motor megawatt electric drive system delivering 1,030 kW (1,381 hp). The declared top speed is 230 km/h.
At this time, detailed powertrain specifications and range info have not been revealed. For reference, the standard Zeekr 8X is equipped with ternary lithium battery pack with capacities of 55.1 kWh and 70 kWh from the CATL-Geely joint venture, providing pure electric ranges of 256 km, 257 km, and 328 km (assuming under WLTC conditions).

Other optional configurations include rim design, electric side steps, infrared night vision camera, and digital rearview mirror.
Dimensionally, this model measures 5108/2026/1780 mm (l/w/h), a wheelbase of 3069 mm, a gross weight of 3,300 kg, and a curb weight of 2,800 kg. For reference, the standard Zeekr 8X measures 5100/1998/1780 mm, with a wheelbase of 3069 mm.
