BYD revealed Linghui M9 MPV official images for the ride-hailing market
BYD has released the official images of its Linghui M9 mid-to-large MPV, featuring a 7-seat layout and a 1.5T plug-in hybrid powertrain system.
Linghui is a new sub-brand under BYD that focuses on the taxi and ride-hailing markets launched earlier this month, consisting of the e and M series: Linghui e5, e7, e9, and M9. The e series is all pure electric vehicles, the M9 is the only plug-in hybrid vehicle.

The exterior design of the Linghui M9 is similar to that of the BYD Xia DM-i, but with the Linghui brand logo and minor detail updates. For example, Linghui M9’s front grille adopts the same shape and layout, but the chrome trims are of different shapes.

At the rear, the “Chinese knot” taillight design along with red reflector lights and a chrome trim at the bumper are all present. Its tire specification is 235/60R18.
Dimensionally, the Linghui M9 measures 5200/1970/1805 mm (/w/h), with a wheelbase of 3045 mm, which is 55 mm longer than the BYD Xia DM-i while the other dimensions remain the same. Its curb weight is 2,470 kg.

Optional configurations include a small sunroof, two sunroofs, non-privacy glass, rearview mirror base with camera, and rear cameras.
Power comes from a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 1.5T engine (model BYD472ZQB), a permanent magnet synchronous motor (model TZ210XYD), and Blade battery. The engine has a maximum power of 115 kW (154 hp) and the motor has 200 kW (268 hp), same as the ones on the BYD Xia DM-i.
The battery capacity has not been specified. For reference, the BYD Xia DM-i is equipped with a 20.39 kWh Blade battery pack that provides a CLTC pure electric range of 100 km.
