Great Wall MotorsTank 700 Hi4-Z has officially made its debut, featuring subtle exterior enhancements, integrated LiDAR technology, and a Hi4-Z plug-in hybrid system that delivers 190 km of pure electric range (CLTC).

The new Tank 700 Hi4-Z showcases minor aesthetic optimisations. Upfront, the vehicle sports a hood with ventilation openings, while the headlight clusters and front grille largely retain the design of the current Tank 700 Hi4-T model. The front bumper adopts a three-section layout, accented by a front lip spoiler. Along the sides, the SUV maintains its hardcore off-road structure, complemented by wide fender flares. A notable addition is the roof-mounted lidar unit, signalling advanced driver-assistance capabilities. The vehicle also introduces newly designed 20-inch and 21-inch wheel options.

At the rear, the Tank 700 Hi4-Z features a roof spoiler and a camera hardware embedded in the centre of the roof. The tailgate opens horizontally and proudly displays a rear-mounted spare tyre.

Under the hood, the Tank 700 Hi4-Z is powered by a 2.0T plug-in hybrid system. The engine delivers a maximum output of 185kW (248hp) and is paired with a 59.05kWh ternary lithium battery pack. This powertrain enables a pure electric cruising range of 190km under CLTC conditions, with a combined fuel consumption of 8.45L/100km.

On February 28, Great Wall Motor Chairman Wei Jianjun posted a teaser for a new model on social media. Judging by the released teaser images, the front silhouette visible beneath the car cover closely resembles the design style of the Tank 700. This new model is the Tank 700 Hi4-Z released today.
