GWM’s Tank 700 pre‑sales open, starts 63,500 USD with lidar and Coffee OS triple‑screen cabin

Great Wall Motor’s Tank brand opened pre-sales for the Tank 700 Hi4-T and Tank 700 Hi4-Z on March 30, according to Autohome. The Hi4-T is priced at 518,000 yuan (75,100 USD), while the Hi4-Z is priced between 438,000 and 478,000 yuan (63,500–69,300 USD).

The launch follows earlier disclosures of the model. CarNewsChina reported on March 5 that the Tank 700 Hi4-Z debuted with lidar integration and an electric range of 190 km, powered by a 59.05 kWh battery.

Exterior design and dimensions

The Tank 700 adopts a “Qilin” design language, with revised exterior details including a ventilated hood and an updated front fascia. Laser headlights provide a maximum illumination range of 260 meters, according to Autohome data.

A roof-mounted lidar unit is integrated into the body structure. Dimensions are listed as 5105 mm in length, 2061 mm in width, and 1985 mm in height, with a 3000 mm wheelbase.

Interior and cabin configuration

The interior features a triple-screen layout, including a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch central display, and a 17.3-inch rear entertainment screen. The system operates on Coffee OS. Audio is delivered through a 21-speaker system rated at 2440 W. Seating includes 20-way adjustable front seats and rear seats with 141-degree adjustment, with the front seats fully reclining to 180 degrees.

A 5.4-litre onboard refrigerator supports temperature adjustment from -6°C to 50°C. CarNewsChina reported on March 11 that the model’s interior includes a lounge-style rear layout with a ceiling-mounted screen and a wrap-around cockpit design.

Driver assistance and electronics

The vehicle is equipped with 27 sensors, including lidar, supporting advanced driver assistance functions. Dongchedi states the system uses Coffee Pilot 4.0 and is powered by an Nvidia Drive Thor-U chip.

Powertrain specifications

The Tank 700 Hi4-Z is equipped with a 2.0T plug-in hybrid system paired with a 59.05 kWh battery. The system delivers a total output of 635 kW (851 hp). The WLTC electric range is 190 km, with a combined range of 1191 km. Towing capacity is listed at 750 kg without brakes and 2500 kg with brakes.

The Tank 700 Hi4-T uses a 3.0T V6 plug-in hybrid system. Output is reported as 385 kW by Autohome and 395 kW by Dongchedi. The battery capacity is 37.1 kWh, with a WLTC electric range of 90 km.
