Denza Z9 GT with flash charging and 1036 km range launches in Europe starting from 115,000 euros
Denza, the premium brand under BYD, officially unveiled its Z9 GT and D9 models to the European public at the Paris Opera on April 8.
The Denza Z9 GT, the brand’s flagship technology performance GT model, has been launched with a starting pre-sale price of approximately 115,000 euros (130,000 USD). The model is now available for ordering on Denza’s official websites across seven European countries, including France, Germany, Italy, and Spain.
The new Denza Z9 GT is the world’s longest-range EV. It was only launched last month in China, starting from 269,800 yuan (39,100 USD) at the domestic market.

As the brand’s flagship GT vehicle, the Z9 GT is built on the “e³” (Yi San Fang) technology platform and offers both pure electric and plug-in hybrid powertrain options. The pure electric version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds. Equipped with independent rear-wheel steering technology, the vehicle enables precision manoeuvres such as compass turns and crab walking in tight spaces.
The Denza D9 DM-i, positioned as the flagship MPV, offers a pure electric range of 210 km and a combined range of 950 km with a full tank and battery.
Additionally, Denza’s flash charging technology made its European debut at the launch event. Based on BYD’s second-generation blade battery, the technology achieves a maximum charging power of 1,500 kW. The Z9 GT equipped with this technology can achieve “5 minutes to charge sufficiently, 9 minutes to fully charge” under normal temperatures. Even in extreme cold conditions of minus 30°C, charging takes only 12 minutes – just 3 minutes longer than under normal conditions.
Denza is accelerating its European market presence. By the end of 2026, the brand plans to cover more than 30 European countries and establish over 150 retail stores. Regarding charging infrastructure, BYD will deploy 6,000 overseas flash charging stations globally, with 3,000 stations to be built in Europe.

Update 14:00, April 9th: Although Denza’s official Chinese news said the vehicle starts from 115,000 euros, our reader Alex reminds us that according to the French press, the starting price in Europe is 101,000 euros.
