The new Avatr 12 officially hit the market on April 8, offering seven variants with prices ranging from 293,900 yuan to 433,900 yuan (42,600 USD to 62,900 USD). The model was first exposed by regulatory filings this January. It comes standard with Huawei’s Qiankun ADS driver assistance system and debuts as the first to feature a 896-line LiDAR.
Exterior and dimensions
The new model maintains Avatr’s original design philosophy with minimal changes to its exterior and interior styling. Notable upgrades include the roof-mounted 896-line LiDAR, high-precision solid-state LiDAR on the front fenders, and six blue intelligent driving indicator lights across the vehicle.
The sedan measures 5,020 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,460 mm (electromagnetic suspension) or 1,470 mm (air suspension) in height, with a wheelbase of 3,020 mm.

The new Avatr 12 pioneers Huawei’s Qiankun 896-line LiDAR and comes standard with the Qiankun ADS driver assistance system. The sensor suite includes:

According to Avatr, the Taihang distributed electric drive system boasts four global firsts, 12 industry-leading parameters, and 29 industry-leading technologies. Key advantages include:
