The Onvo L90, the second model from the Onvo brand, has officially made its debut at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show on April 23. Positioned as a large SUV, the L90 is built on Nio‘s NT3.0 platform and showcases a more executive and imposing design compared to its sportier sibling, the L60.

Design and Exterior Features

The L90 maintains the Onvo family design language but adopts a more squared-off, dignified appearance that exudes stability and presence. The front features a distinctive “shark nose” design slightly protruding forward—a characteristic element carried over from Nio’s design philosophy.

The vehicle’s front end includes a “Star Path Illumination” pixel headlight system with an interactive lighting area that supports customized light patterns and welcome functions. One notable feature is the exceptionally large front trunk, which can be opened by tapping the hood twice and offers 240 liters of storage space—enough for large luggage.

The side profile showcases clean lines with frameless doors and hidden door handles. The titanium-colored trim and hidden B/C pillars give the vehicle a premium, executive appearance. The L90 measures 5,145/1,998/1,676 (1,786mm) in l/w/h, with a wheelbase of 3,110mm, achieving a wheelbase-to-length ratio of 60.4%.

Powertrain and Performance

Built on Nio’s NT3.0 platform architecture, the Onvo L90 features a 900V electrical system. The rear motor produces 340kW (455hp) of power, while the all-wheel-drive version delivers a combined output of 440kW (590hp).

For suspension, the L90 is equipped with a double-wishbone independent front suspension and a multi-link independent rear suspension, complemented by an air suspension system for enhanced ride comfort.
