The Maextro S800, Huawei’s first vehicle under its new Harmony Intelligent Driving unit and ultra-luxury Maextro brand arrives at dealerships across China before its official launch on May 30. Recent spy photos showing a white S800 in near-production form have surfaced online.
Developed in partnership with JAC Group, the executive sedan is priced between 1 million and 1.5 million yuan (approximately 138,700–208,000 USD), with deliveries expected to begin shortly after launch.
Positioned in the ultra-luxury segment, the S800 is built on Huawei’s Tuling Longxing digital chassis and offers fully electric and extended-range versions. At 5480/2000/1536 mm with a 3370 mm wheelbase, it exceeds the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class size and is designed primarily for rear-seat comfort.
The cabin features a three-screen dashboard, a 70-inch AI-based heads-up display, and materials such as nappa leather, real wood trim, and crystal detailing. Rear-seat configurations include an executive four-seat layout with reclining chairs, power leg rests, folding tables, ambient lighting, a refrigerator, and an overhead “starry sky” lighting system.
Powertrain options span dual- and tri-motor setups with outputs ranging from 480 to 864 hp. The EREV variant pairs a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a 63.3 kWh battery and supports 6C fast charging, allowing a 10–80% charge in about 10.5 minutes. The fully electric model uses a 94.4 kWh battery with a maximum CLTC-rated range of 702 km.
The S800 is equipped with Huawei’s DriveSense 2.0 system, Starlink 5G+ communication, and QuantumSafe Battery 2.0. It features 32 external sensors, including four 192-line LiDAR units, which enable advanced driving functions such as automated lane changes, obstacle avoidance, and emergency roadside assistance.
Additional features include four-wheel steering and lateral movement capabilities of up to 16 degrees, allowing the large sedan to achieve a turning radius as small as 3.8 meters, which helps navigate dense urban areas.
Huawei recently reported over 10,000 new vehicle orders in one week, and the S800 is expected to support the brand’s expansion into the premium segment.
