Following the recent launch of its S800 luxury sedan, the Maextro brand is set to introduce two additional new vehicles, with one confirmed to be the Maextro S600. The S600 will be smaller in size than the S800. Inquiries to Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance regarding these new models have not yet received a response.

The announcement comes shortly after Xiang Xingchu, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of JAC Group, stated on June 18 that the company is “accelerating the research and development of the Maextro brand’s second and third products based on the Maextro S800.” This initiative aims to provide the market and consumers with more ultra-luxury brand products developed by Chinese companies.

Coinciding with this news, the Maextro S800 began mass production at the Maextro Super Factory in Feixi County, Hefei City, on the same day. This marks a significant step towards the official delivery of the new car. The S800 “Pioneer Plan” is scheduled to begin deliveries on June 26, with other versions of the model expected to be delivered starting in mid-August.

The Maextro S800, which launched on May 30 this year, is priced between 708,000 and 1,018,000 yuan (98,300–141,000 USD). The vehicle has seen strong initial demand, with over 1,000 orders within one hour of its launch, 1,600 orders within 24 hours, and a cumulative total of over 5,000 orders in 19 days, according to data from Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance.

JAC Group emphasized its deep integration with Huawei across various aspects, including research and development, supply chain, manufacturing, and sales services, to ensure high-quality deliveries of the Maextro vehicles. Li Ming, General Manager of JAC Group, recently stated that the company aims to achieve a monthly production capacity of 3,000 units for the Maextro S800 by September, with a target of 4,000 units per month by the end of the year.

The domestic passenger car market for vehicles priced above 600,000 yuan (83,000 USD) has seen sales figures of 430,000, 420,000, 420,000, 480,000, and 410,000 units from 2020 to 2024, respectively. CITIC Securities estimates that the average annual sales in this market segment are around 450,000 units. The Maextro brand is projected to capture approximately 20% of this market, translating to an annual sales volume of 80,000 to 100,000 units.

Given these projections, the upcoming Maextro S600 will play a crucial role alongside the S800 in boosting the Maextro brand’s overall sales and driving further growth in the market.
