Voyah Free+ EREV with Huawei ADS 4 enters market at 30,650 USD in China
On July 12, Dongfeng launched its Voyah Free+ EREV SUV, available in RWD and AWD:
- RWD Qiankun: 219,900 yuan (30,650 USD)
- AWD Qiankun: 249,900 yuan (34,830 USD)
- AWD Sports: 279,900 yuan (39,000 USD)
11,583 firm orders were received 15 minutes after the launch, according to the official. At the same time, it is worth pointing out that Voyah has an annual sales target of 200,000 vehicles in 2025, but has only achieved 28% of its target so far in the first half of this year.


The Voyah Free+ is the third model under the Voyah Free series after the Voyah Free and Voyah Free 318.


Most notably, the Voyah Free+ is equipped with the Huawei ADS 4 advanced driving assistance system as the standard, supported by 29 sensors, including a 192-line lidar, three 4D millimeter-wave radars, 11 cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars, to realize highway + urban navigation on autopilot and parking assist. Huawei claimed the system can reduce the hard braking rate by 30%. Additionally, the vehicle can brake at a maximum speed of 130 km/h upon activation of automatic emergency braking.

Positioned as a medium-to-large SUV, the length, width, and height of the Voyah Free+ are 4915/1960/1600(1645) mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 2960 mm.

Six exterior paints are offered.

The range-extender powertrain system consists of a 95 kW (127 hp) 1.5T engine, electric motor(s), and 43.2 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery:
- RWD: rear 215 kW (288 hp) electric motor, 180 km/h top speed, 2,250 kg curb weight, 318 km CLTC pure electric range, 1,458 km CLTC comprehensive range
- AWD: additional front 135 kW (181 hp) electric motor, 200 km/h top speed, 2,350 kg curb weight, 259 km CLTC pure electric range, 1,357 km CLTC comprehensive range
Under 3C fast charging, it takes 20 minutes to recharge the battery from 20% to 80%.

Another highlight is Huawei’s HarmonySpace 5 cockpit system, which can realize five-screen linkage, connecting the 15.6-inch 2K central control screen, 29-inch AR-HUD, 10.25-inch instrument panel, and rear central control screen.


The Voyah Free+ has 4.8 m2 of usable space and can seat five people as standard.

There are also 33 storage slots throughout the interior. The trunk volume can be expanded from 590 L to 1,450 L. When fully seated with five people, the luggage compartment can accommodate five 24-inch suitcases and five backpacks.

The 7 L refrigerator is embedded in the center console with a temperature control range of -6°C to 50°C.


The co-pilot seat can go as low as 163° and is equipped with a four-way adjustable leg rest. The rear seats support a 39° backrest adjustment angle, combined with ventilation and heating functions.
Other configurations include a 1.78 ㎡ panoramic sunroof, 22 speakers, 256-color ambient lights, active cabin cleaning, 50 W wireless charging, an AI voice assistant, OTA updates, and remote control via mobile phone.
