2026 Bestune Pony EV launches with price starting from 4,800 USD
The 2026 Bestune Pony mini electric vehicle has officially launched in China, with prices ranging from 34,900 to 45,900 yuan (4,800-6,300 USD). The updated model was unveiled at FAW Bestune‘s Fan Cooling Festival in Changchun, Jilin Province, on July 27, 2025.
The refreshed Pony remains a three-door, four-seat micro electric vehicle, retaining its distinctive boxy design. All five variants now come standard with a 222km driving range under China’s CLTC testing standard. The 2026 model introduces a new “Snow Cherry Pink” exterior colour option and “Cocoa Brown” interior trim.
As an annual model update, the 2026 Bestune Pony retains its box-shaped body with sharp lines throughout. The front face features headlight designs and decorative lower grille elements.

The side profile shows wheel arches paired with white side mirrors. The car also employs low-drag wheel designs. The rear design echoes the front styling, creating a cohesive visual identity. The vehicle dimensions remain unchanged from the current model at 3000/1510/1630mm (length/width/height) with a 1953mm wheelbase.

Inside, while maintaining its overall design language, the 2026 Pony adds a new Cocoa Brown colour option. Feature upgrades include a 10.1-inch smart central control screen (on higher trims), smartphone Bluetooth key functionality, passive entry, OTA entertainment system updates, DeepSeek intelligent assistant, and a driving recorder. The new model also adds a low-speed creep function.

Powering the Pony is a rear-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor that produces 30 kW (42 hp) of maximum power and 90 Nm of peak torque. The 18.11kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack delivers a CLTC-rated driving range of 222km on a full charge.
The Bestune Pony was launched last year, with a motor of 20 kW (28 hp), a CLTC range of 122 km, and a starting price of 28,900 yuan (4,000 USD).
Bestune, formerly known as Besturn, is the mainstream brand of FAW. The brand sold 17,405 units according to China EV DataTracker.
