Great Wall Motor’s Wey Gaoshan 7 PHEV minivan set for September 10 pre-sale, debuts at Chengdu Auto Show
Great Wall Motor (GWM) has announced that its Wey Gaoshan 7 MPV, positioned as “a mobile living room for the whole family,” will officially open for pre-sales on September 10. The luxury MPV is set to make its debut at the Chengdu Auto Show, commencing on August 29.
The Gaoshan 7 features a waterfall chrome grille integrated with the headlights. A roof-mounted LiDAR sensor indicates the integration of GWM’s Coffee Pilot Ultra intelligent driving system, which will offer high-speed and urban Navigation on Autopilot (NOA) capabilities, alongside intelligent parking assistance.
From the side, the Gaoshan 7 boasts sculpted lines and a contemporary floating roof design. The Gaoshan 7 measures 5050mm in length, 1960mm in width, and 1900mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3085mm. A full-width taillight cluster highlights the rear design; the rear bumper also incorporates a full-width chrome trim element. Two new colour options, Morandi Grey and Canglang Green, will be available.

Inside, the dashboard features a 15.6-inch 2.5K dual-screen setup, complemented by a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a large 26-inch SR-HUD (Super-Resolution Head-Up Display). Additional amenities include wireless phone charging, an electronic column-mounted gear selector, and a front passenger seat with massage functionality.

The Gaoshan 7 offers a 2+2+3 seven-seat configuration. The second row features two independent seats with electric adjustment, ventilation, and heating. Customers can also opt for zero-gravity seats with massage functions. Rear passengers will further benefit from a roof-mounted entertainment screen, a hot and cold refrigerator, and foldable tray tables.

Under the hood, the Gaoshan 7 is powered by GWM’s Hi4 Performance Edition intelligent four-wheel-drive hybrid technology. This hybrid system combines a 1.5T engine with a 4-speed DHT (Dedicated Hybrid Transmission) and dual electric motors on both front and rear axles. It supports multiple driving modes, including range-extended, parallel, and direct drive. The system delivers a combined output of 337 kW (452 hp) and a combined torque of 644 N·m, enabling the MPV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds.

The Coffee Pilot Ultra intelligent driving system supports urban navigation, highway navigation, and point-to-point navigation. The vehicle is equipped with a comprehensive sensor suite comprising 27 units, including two 8-megapixel front-facing cameras, one 128-line LiDAR, three millimetre-wave radars, twelve ultrasonic radars, four surround-view cameras, four side-view cameras, and one rear-view camera. Processing all this data is a Nvidia Orin X chip.

The Gaoshan 7, along with the Gaoshan 8, features a 44.28 kWh battery pack, providing a WLTC pure electric range of 172 km. The larger Gaoshan 9 model, in comparison, is equipped with a 51.55 kWh battery, offering a WLTC pure electric range of 201 km.
